How Do Customs Work?

A cornerstone of my work is the collaboration process. I love working closely with you to bring your vision to life, making sure you're involved every step of the way to bring to life your unique, one-of-a-kind art piece. Here’s how it works:

  • Step 1: Booking & Design
    A non-refundable $65 booking fee kicks off the process. This allows us to schedule a Zoom call where we’ll dream up your custom piece together. Whether it’s a coat, rave set, or accessories, I’m here to make your vision come to life!
    (Smaller items like tops or skirts have a reduced booking fee.)

  • Step 2: Materials
    Once we decide on the design, we’ll pick out the perfect materials for your project. The cost for these will vary depending on how adventurous you want to get. Coat material cost can range anywhere from $80 to $250+, with an average around $140 (smaller projects use less material of course!). You’ll pay exactly what these materials cost before I order them.
    (Materials can be sourced from anywhere—your own stash, my incredible fabric collection, or even something special you’ve found online.)

  • Step 3: Crafting Your Piece
    After materials are in hand, I’ll get to work! My labor is billed at $70/hour, tracked via time card. Before we start, I’ll give you an estimate of the maximum number of hours your project might take—and I usually finish under that! You’ll never be charged more than the initial estimate.

Every custom creation is truly one-of-a-kind. While I don’t repeat designs, I’m happy to incorporate elements from pieces you love, like fabric choices or signature details, and put them together in a brand-new way just for you.

When it comes to custom coats, the possibilities are endless! Here are just a few of the exciting features we can incorporate into your design:

  • Quilted Fabrics: Full coats or special accents
  • Patchworking & Embroidery: Combining unique fabrics or adding special details
  • Ears: From kitty to bunny and beyond!
  • Pockets: Secret, zippered, oversized—any kind your heart desires
  • Backpack Straps: Detachable & adjustable for ultimate convenience
  • Removable Parts: Custom elements you can swap or remove
  • Fur Fade: Layered fur colors for a cascading effect
  • Anything Else: If you can dream it, we can create it!
